This large format work was a commission. It became the inspiration for the artist’s most recent series – Unexpected. This painting illustrates the great contrasts which exist in our environment. This piece shows the rupturing of a fragile and harmonious environment (the flowers) by an instrument of excessive strength and power (the aeroplane). Despite the dissonance, the juxtaposition works to produce a provocative piece.
